Our third headliner at the Zwischenstromball 2009 is the well-known and popular DJ Digipop!
Through his affection to music he is able to put the audience in the national area into very good humour! And this for more than a decade now. As DJ he lives a variety of influences on the turntables – techno, house, electro, cosmic – all of them are part of the genres, which digipop combines in the mix. With synthesiser, effectmachine and microphone he meanwhile gives performances as it offers unequalled opportunities in his surroundings!

Dear people! As one of our main live acts at the Zwischenstromball 2009 this year, we could win over the fresh newcomer U.L.T.R.N.X.!
Germany’s U.L.T.R.N.X. seemed apparently popped out of nowhere, when they won the Digitalism Remix Contest with their track “Taken Away” last year – beating out over more than one thousand other entries. One look into the background of bandmates Phil de Gap and Ahoi Boi explains everything…
…Swapping their guitars for synthesizers however was no real surprise:
Phil already began programming his first sounds back in the mid-eighties’ home computer boom (chiptunes) and Ahoi regularly got in touch with electronic music while working as a DJ for years.

The Zwischenstromball 2009 does not spare neither trouble nor expense to show you, amongst others, the French/German truly great one Eriq Johnson! Not only optically a real delicacy – Eriq Johnson is multifucionally involved and successful in the music business – as producer, DJ and label founder and owner (musicheads – in 2007).
For a long time he had occupied himself with writing music for television and radio advertisements… However since 2000 he has been working increasingly as a DJ and performed in almost all countries of the European continent, including Russia and Malta.
In 2008 Eriq initiated a music project “Deeper Sublime” which reflects his passion for chill-out music. Eriq Johnson also continues to produce lounge tracks under his name. In July 2008 he put out the EP Berlin Night. The tracks “Out of your mind” and “Femme Fatale” from this release have got the most favourable responses from artists, DJs and fans from all over the world.
Eriq’s music career has been expanding progressively and continues to grow. He collaborated and was released on the compilations with such artists as Bob Sinclar, David Guetta, Jean Michel Jarre, Funkerman, Fedde Le Grand, Paul Johnson, Fukkk Offf, Eric Prydz, Deadmau5, Tom Novy, Oka, Lemongrass, Yoad Nevo & Gil Brown (Sugababes, Moby, Ronan Keating, etc) and many more!

We have been working on the page, and you can see a new shiny picture slideshow at the right side – also check out the brandnew gallery system!
Furthermore, we have edited the history page, so you can travel back in time and have a look at all past events like Zwischenstromlounge. We even found some old flyers!

As we have told you here, we are broadcasting the Zwischenstromball 2007 in cooperation with Radio FRF 107,1 MHz and Radio FRO 105,0 MHz, two free community radios in upperaustria. It will be moderated by journalists Simone Boria and Sandra Hochholzer from Radio FRO, which will interview the artists and try to give an impression from the event. Both radio stations have an internet stream, which you can listen anywhere on the world. Here a link to their news entry.
